How to Get There
The Wakayama Historical Center is accessible on foot, by bus, or by train. It takes 20 minutes on foot from Wakayama Station. From Nankai Wakayama-shi Station, it's a 10-minute walk to the museum. You can also take a bus from Wakayama Station bound for Wakayama Castle . Disembark at the Shiyakusho-mae bus stop.

Wakayama Historical Center sits a short stroll away from Wakayama Castle and has two floors packed with artifacts and drawings, ancient records, and excavated relics. There are also a short film presentation documenting the reconstruction of the castle and a full-sized tea house.

Admission to the center is 100 yen (or free with your Castle Admission Ticket). Open 9:00-17:30 with the last entry at 17:00.
