This park still contains virgin forest
This huge 439,000-square-meter area contains magnolias, maple, oak, Japanese Judas, cherry, and other varieties of trees. It has also been designated as a natural monument.
Take a walk up to Maruyama Zoo from the station. A long wooden walkway that goes through a forest is a great place for bird and Ezo squirrel watching.
