Craft a piece of traditional Okinawan pottery
Okinawa is famous for its pottery, known as yachimun, which you can find in shops across the islands. Head to Yachimun-dori, a street with more than 330 years of pottery-making history to discover more. Numerous studios on the street provide pottery-making classes where you can make your own simple pieces. Their adjoining shops sell more complex pieces crafted by local craftspeople.
