Eat, drink, and be merry under gorgeous cherry blossoms
Each year thousands of families, friends, sports teams, and other organizations gather in this corner of Yamata Sports Park (Tottori Prefecture Fusei Sports Park) to picnic under the cherry trees and admire the blossoms.
How to Get There
This park is located just outside the center of Tottori City and is accessible by bus.
Take the Yoshioka Bus from JR Tottori Station and get off at Fuse. The park is just a five-minute walk from the bus stop.
Almost a thousand cherry blossoms
Senbonzakura translates as “a thousand cherry blossoms.” While there are not quite 1,000 trees, there are several hundred to be admired in this corner of the park. "Inaba" refers to an old name for eastern Tottori. Alcohol usually flows quite freely and hanami time is a great occasion to meet and interact with people.
