A paradise for animal lovers of all types

Nagasaki Bio Park is an animal lovers' dream. If you want to escape the city for the day and get back to nature, then the Bio Park is the place for you. With more than 200 species of animals and over 1,000 species of plants, the park has something for everyone.

How to Get There

The Nagasaki Bio Park, located north of Nagasaki City , can be accessed by a shuttle bus from Huis Ten Bosch train station.

Driving from Nagasaki is also possible. It can take up to two hours depending on traffic.

Join the events and get up close

Throughout the day, various events are held at the park allowing you to pet and feed numerous animals, such as kangaroos, llamas, squirrel monkeys, and capybara.

During the winter months, you can watch the capybara take baths in their onsen. In keeping with Japanese tradition, the capybara's bath is filled with citrus fruits on the winter solstice.

Kid-friendly fun

Catering to younger visitors, the park also has a petting zoo where children can interact with animals and learn about them as they go along. The Guinea Pig Bridge, where you can watch a procession of the cute critters walking from one area to the next, has been a visitor favorite since its opening.
