One of eight hot spring resorts nestled in the hills above Beppu City, Myoban Onsen is famous for its sulfurous smell that seeps out from the ground. Many hot springs offer both indoor and outdoor baths.

How to Get There
Beppu Station can be reached by limited express train from Hakata , Miyazaki, and Kumamoto as well as from neighboring areas.
From Beppu Station , take a Kamenoi Bus bound for the Asia Pacific University and get off at Myoban. The journey takes around 25 minutes.
Benefits of yu-no-hana
Myoban Onsen's yu-no-hana are said to be good for stiff shoulders and neuralgia, and they have been collected for health and beauty reasons for many years.
The process dates from the 17th century and is still carried out today in yu-no-hana huts. Look inside them or check out yu-no-hana goods in the local shop.
