How to Get There
The easiest way to reach the New National Theatre, Tokyo is by rail. The NNTT is connected directly with the Central Exit of Hatsudai Station on the Keio New Line (an extension of the Toei Shinjuku line, which stops at Shinjuku Station).

Opened in 1997, the New National Theatre, Tokyo's Opera Palace, where opera and ballet are performed, boasts exemplary acoustic and architectural design. The walls and ceilings of the seated areas are covered in thick oak panels designed to provide ideal acoustics for live singing. The main, rear, and left and right wing stages allow for easy movement of large-scale scenery, and for different productions to be performed every night with ease.

The seating and stage configurations of both the Playhouse and the Pit can be changed depending on the program, allowing a new theatrical experience every visit.

Inside the theater, you can also visit the theater shop, dine at the Maestro restaurant, and enjoy the theater's exhibition space, which includes a stage costume exhibit that has been dubbed the "Hatsudai Art Loft." The terrace garden, pond, and rooftop garden offer relaxing views of the city.
