How to Get There
From Namba Station, take the express train on the Nankai Main Line to Kishiwada Station. The castle is a 15-minute walk from there.
From Kansai International Airport, you can take the Nankai Line to Takojizo Station, from which Kishiwada Castle is only a five-minute walk.
Kishiwada Danjiri Matsuri
In September and October, Kishiwada Castle plays host to the world-famous Kishiwada Danjiri Matsuri festival. It's said to be one of the wildest festivals in the Osaka area . Local participants carry danjiris, large wooden floats, through the streets alongside traditional Japanese drummers and flute players. If you're in Osaka in September or October, this event is not to be missed.

If you're staying near the airport or have time to spare between flights, consider spending some time at Kishiwada Castle. If you're in the mood for last-minute shopping, head to the nearby Rinku Town shopping outlets. Lockers are available at major train stations if you need to store your luggage.
