X-JAM Takai Fuji

TOP RECOMMENDATIONS X-JAM Takai Fuji

A paradise for winter sports enthusiasts

X-JAM Takai Fuji is different from your typical ski resort — it’s closer to a terrain park that’s been transformed into a ski resort. The four parks within the resort have up to 50 features in total, including two half-pipes, banked slalom courses, mini cross-country courses, tree run areas (unpatrolled), and hike-up powder zones (unpatrolled). It is the perfect place for skiers and snowboarders looking for something new.

How to get there

By train

Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station. Transfer to the Nagaden Nagano Line and get off at the last stop, Yudanaka Station. X-JAM Taki Fuji is a 10-kilometer journey (20 minutes) by taxi from Yudanaka Station.

By car

Take the Kanetsu Expressway from Tokyo and enter the Joshinetsu Expressway from Fujioka ICT. Get off the highway at Shinshu Nakano IC. From there, head to Takai Fuji via the Shiga Nakano Toll Road, National Roads 292 or 402. Total journey time 6 hours.

Snow activities to suit you

Beginners and intermediate level skiers should head to the Challenge Park or Hike Park, while more experienced skiers will want to try out the X-JAM Main Park or Excite Park. You will find eight heights of kickers, ranging from 2 to 14 meters, nine different rails, from 2-meter straight rails to 6-meter rainbow rails, and eight different boxes (varies according to snow conditions). There also a regular half-pipe measuring 3 meters high and 15 meters wide, and a big half-pipe measuring 4 meters high and 18 meters wide.

Access 26 pistes with a joint pass

By purchasing a joint lift ticket, you can access the neighboring Yomase Onsen Ski Resort. Move between the two resorts via the no. 3 pair lift or the Ottamage Course and choose from a total of 26 pistes. Head to the steep slopes of Yomase Onsen Resort if you are looking for some speed.

Panoramic mountain views from an open-air hot spring

The Tominoyu hot spring is located in the grounds of Hotel Selan at the foot of Yomase Onsen Ski Resort. Relax after an active day in the open-air bath surrounded by beautiful mountain views.
