Join the harvest of Japan's staple crop
Over 1,000 small rice paddies make up the Shiroyone Senmaida (thousand rice paddies of Shiroyone). The paddies were cut into steep hillside slopes and stretch down to the Sea of Japan. In spring and autumn, you can experience the area's agricultural traditions by planting or harvesting rice. Everything is done by hand, and you will discover the thrills of production and the importance of each grain.
