Explore an ocean playground on a kayak
The Ogi Peninsula sits at the southern tip of Sado Island, off the coast of Niigata Prefecture. The peninsula was formed over 14 million years ago by an underwater volcano, and you can explore the interesting geological site on a kayak. Some of the caves that pockmark the cliffs can only be seen from the ocean. These include the "Blue Grotto," so called for its glowing waters.
