Car enthusiasts can bring the whole family to this racing-centric theme park and hotel in Mie Prefecture
Mie Prefecture Tourism Federation
Motorsports fans, start your engines and head to Suzuka Circuit, Japan’s only theme park dedicated to racing and motor vehicles.
Suzuka Circuit boasts the country’s first official racing course, which hosts world-class motorsport events such as the F1 Japanese Grand Prix and the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. Younger visitors are accommodated well in the amusement park section, which features about 30 attractions. Children and adults can enjoy driving on special kid-friendly racing tracks, go on boat adventures, or even challenge friends to a race on the unique driver-operated Dual GP “battle coaster.”
After enjoying a day at the racing track and amusement park with family and friends, relax at the adjacent Suzuka Circuit Hotel. The motorsports-themed rooms are particularly popular, and there are special rooms designed for children, with low beds and relaxing spaces for napping and play. Head to the nearby restaurant for a meal made with fresh local ingredients. There is also a hot spring, as well as camping facilities for those who prefer to spend the night under the stars.
How to get there
From Nagoya Station, walk about 5 minutes to Kintetsu Nagoya Station. Take the Kintetsu special express train to Shiroko Station (about 40 minutes). The theme park is about 20 minutes by bus or car from the station.
