Indulge in Traditional Japanese Hospitality in Niseko

The Japanese inn Zaborin offers gorgeous views and fantastic relaxation

If you’re into winter sports and familiar with Japan, you've surely heard of Niseko. This world-renowned skiing resort town is famous for its top-class powder snow and the stunning views of Mt. Yotei to admire as you glide down the slopes.

After a long day on the slopes, there’s nothing like a nice hot bath. The award-winning Japanese inn      Zaborin      offers phenomenal open-air baths with water sourced from a natural hot spring. If you’d rather warm up inside, they have indoor hot spring baths as well. You’re welcome to visit in any season, with the summertime hiking in Hokkaido being known as among the best in Japan.

The villas are designed with a fusion of traditional and modern design ideas, letting you experience refinement in a way you never have before. Like most Japanese inns, meal service is available for guests, but the service has been taken to the next level. Their internationally recognized local chef will tease your taste buds with the Kita-kaiseki, a traditional course meal featuring the best of what Hokkaido has to offer.

Access: From Sapporo Station, take the Rapid Airport train to Otaru Station (about 35 minutes), then      transfer to the Niseko Bus      to the Kosei Byoin-mae stop (about one hour 23 minutes) and      take a taxi to the hotel (about 10 minutes). Alternatively, travel by taxi or rental car will take between one hour 30 minutes and two hours from Sapporo Station to the hotel.

Contribution to Sustainability

Zaborin incorporates modern, eco-friendly design and building techniques. Outer walls constructed from recycled offcuts treated with natural dyes echo the traditional practice of charring wooden walls to preserve the timber (yakisugi). Zaborin is currently working towards carbon neutrality. An on-site hot spring provides underfloor heating in winter, while cold spring water cools the building during the summer months.
