The greatest new draw to Universal Studios Japan is Super Nintendo World, an attraction centered around the ever-popular Nintendo character that exploded onto the global scene in 1985. The original creator of the character, Shigeru Miyamoto, was directly involved in the World’s creation and its detailed references to many different Mario games.

In the incredible realm of Super Nintendo World, you’ll meet your favorite characters from the series, including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi and Bowser, and have the chance to take photos with them! The immersive experience lets visitors feel like they’re inside the game, including all the iconic enemies, characters and power-up items found throughout the series.
Visitors can also join Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge for an exhilarating project-mapped racing experience, strap in for serious excitement with everybody’s favorite dinosaur fiend on Yoshi’s Adventure, and take the Power-Up Band Key Challenge—an interactive treasure-hunt attraction that allows players to find keys to defeat Bowser Jr. through a special Power-Up Band and the official Universal Studios Japan app.
